CORNWALL – City police are looking for witnesses to a collision involving a pedestrian at a busy Cornwall intersection earlier this week.
A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at Ninth Street and Sydney Street just before 6 p.m. on Monday (Nov. 2).
The driver did stay at the scene.
The pedestrian was treated at hospital for what police calling serious injuries.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen the crash to call Detective Const. Matt Dupuis at 613-933-5000 extension 2755.
The intersection has been the site of some horrific crashes. A cyclist was killed in July 2015 and a motorcyclist died in August 2019.
Police stats from 2019 show it was number six in Cornwall for intersections with the most collisions.
