Two charged with drug trafficking in Cornwall traffic stop

CORNWALL – Two people from Cornwall are facing drug trafficking charges after city police stopped a vehicle on Saturday.

After the officer stopped the vehicle near McConnell Avenue and Tollgate Road a subsequent investigation found methamphetamine and cash inside that vehicle.

The 27-year-old woman driving and her 23-year-old passenger – both from Cornwall – are facing charges of trafficking in meth and possession of property obtained by crime.

The driver is facing additional charges of impaired operation by drug and breach of probation.

Both were released with court dates in September and November.
