GLEN WALTER – Cornwall RCMP say they have arrested four people and seized several guns as part of a cross-border trafficking investigation.
It started on Wednesday last week (June 10) when agents with the Canada Border Services Agency and the RCMP spotted a man being dropped off by boat along the Glen Walter shoreline of the St. Lawrence River.
Police say the man – carrying a duffle bag – got into a vehicle that was later stopped by authorities.
Four males were arrested and several guns, believed to be smuggled from the U.S. into Canada, were seized.
Police say more information on charges will be provided once the investigation is complete.
