CORNWALL – The city’s three splash pads will open Monday (June 15) under strict conditions to limit the spread of coronavirus.

The city says the splash pads at Lamoureux Park, St. Theresa Park and Riverdale Park, open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, will be fenced to limit use to groups of 10 at a time.

The groups will rotate through the splash pad, being allowed to play for four (4) minutes at a time.

Hand sanitizer will be provided and staff will be sanitizing “touch points” regularly.

The city says you should show up in their bathing suit as the washrooms will be open but they are not to be used as change rooms.

The five outdoor swimming pools won’t be open and plans are still in the works for opening dates.
