MORRISBURG – A coroner’s inquest, looking into the 2017 death of a Iroquois man outside the Morrisburg O.P.P. detachment in 2017, has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Regional Supervising Coroner for Inquests Dr. David Cameron made the announcement today (Thursday), which affects 24 cases.

Babak Saidi, 43, was shot dead outside the police station after a confrontation with officers. The Ontario Special Investigations Unit cleared officers in their actions surrounding the death.
