CORNWALL – A Cornwall man, accused in a home invasion at an apartment complex earlier this year, is facing an additional charge of breaching a court order.

Police arrested 20-year-old Jose Acevedo Ovando on Saturday (Dec. 28) and charged him with breach of recognizance for failing to sign in at the police station the day before.

Ovando is one of two accused in a violent home invasion at the Lorneville Apartments where a resident was pistol-whipped and beaten in early October.

Ovando and Kimberlee Long, 25, of Gatineau, Que. are each facing a dozen charges which include robbery with a firearm, break and enter, and forcible confinement.
