CORNWALL – An update to the fight at Guy and Walton Streets on Friday, which resulted in a heavy police presence in the neighbourhood around lunch time.

Police arrested a 35-year-old Cornwall woman and charged her with robbery and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.

Police allege the woman got into a fight with a stranger and stole a bunch of cash from him before running away.

She was caught nearby.

Police officers fanned out across the Cornwall neighbourhood Friday afternoon after the fight prompting questions from neighbours about what was going on.

The victim was treated at the scene by Cornwall-SDG Paramedic Services for minor injuries, police spokesman Stephanie MacRae told Cornwall Newswatch Monday.

The accused was released Friday with a September court date. On Sunday, she was re-arrested on accusations of shoplifting at a Second Street business. She was held for a bail hearing.
