Police officer hurt in crash at Cornwall intersection

CORNWALL – A Cornwall police officer was hurt Wednesday afternoon after a crash at a city intersection.

Cornwall Police Service spokesman Stephanie MacRae told Cornwall Newswatch a cruiser was responding to a priority call around 2:30 p.m. when it collided with another vehicle at Ninth Street and McConnell Avenue.

The officer was taken to hospital by paramedics and treated for minor injuries.

The other driver did not have any known injuries, police said.

An investigation is underway.
