APPLE HILL – A woman is dead after an early Saturday morning crash on County Road 43 in North Stormont, near the eastern border with North Glengarry.
Provincial police say a car was heading east on County Road 43, between County Road 20 and Pigeon Hill Road, around 4:30 a.m. when it left the road and rolled in the ditch.
The man driving the vehicle is in hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
A woman, who was a passenger, died at the scene.
No names have been released until family is notified.
A section of County Road 43, between County Road 20 and Pigeon Hill Road, is closed to traffic and detours are in place.
