CORNWALL – Cornwall Electric says power has been restored to as many as 1,200 customers after a massive outage this morning (Tuesday).

Cornwall Electric tweeted that the area affected was around McConnell Avenue and Second Street East. The power had been off since 6 a.m. but was restored by 7:45 a.m.

Though some on social media have reported they don’t have power as far north as Thirteenth Street and as far south as Water Street.

The utility did not say what caused the outage.
