Four arrested in North Stormont break-in

MCMILLANS CORNERS – Four people have been arrested after a North Stormont homeowner caught the foursome trying to pull off a break-in Thursday morning.

SD&G O.P.P. say they were called about a break-in happening on McMillan Corners Road, about 10 kilometers north of St. Andrews West, around 7 a.m.

The four suspects had tried to get away after the homeowner confronted them but they were caught by police nearby.

A 25-year-old and a 24-year-old, both from Plantagenet, Ont., a 24-year-old from Hawkesbury and a 16-year-old from Clarence-Rockland are facing charges.

Based on the charges, police believe the crew were trying to steal a gun.
