SD&G – While the calendar says spring, could this weekend be winter’s last hurrah?

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement at 12 p.m. today (Thursday) and calls for 5-15 centimeters (2-6 inches) of snow tomorrow (Friday).

The wintry weather will start tonight as rain and then change to snow Friday morning with heavy bursts of snow expected.

“Most areas will receive 5-10 centimeters of snow, with local amounts of 10-15 centimeters possible. The highest amounts are likely to be for regions along the St. Lawrence River,” the agency said.
