CORNWALL – The Children’s Treatment Center had another banner event on the weekend as just over $74,000 was raised for the center.

Hundreds took in the Charity Auction and Dinner at the Best Western Cornwall Saturday night (Feb. 9).

The night started with auctioneers Peter and Helen Ross selling off four cakes by Judy Stewart, raising $1,125. The Bailey’s Tiramisu Trifle fetched $400 alone.

Then roughly 60 items were up for bidding including trips, jewelry, hockey tickets and liquor. An anonymously donated yellow gold and diamond tennis bracelet with 38 diamonds, weighing 1.5 carats, sold for $1,375.

There was also a silent auction and a draw for travel tickets donated by Air Canada from Donna Flanigan’s Travel by TPI which raised thousands of additional dollars. There were also 10 more draws for $50, some of which were donated back to CTC.

With some corporate and personal donations during the night, the final total at the end was $74,344.
