CORNWALL – Roots in the insurance industry are calling Meagan Bingley back.

Citing an “unexpected offer to go back,” Bingley announced today (Tuesday) that she will be resigning as director of operations for the United Way of SD&G on Feb. 21, 2019.

“This was an extremely difficult decision to make” but “it is an opportunity that I need to explore,” she said in a news release.

“I am truly honoured that I had the opportunity to serve our community. I have always known that there is a high need for support services in our area, but working for the United Way has been an eye-opening experience,” she said.

A job posting for her position as director of operations is expected next week.

Office operations at the United Way at 55 Water Street West will continue as normal under the staff, along with support from the United Way board of directors.
