SUMMERSTOWN – SD&G O.P.P. are looking for a man who attempted to rob a postal worker near Summerstown Thursday afternoon.

Police say a man in his early 20s went up to the mail carrier at Summerset Acres Road and County Road 2 just before 2 p.m. and pulled an “edged weapon” and stated “this is a hold up.”

The victim was able to get away unhurt while the perpetrator took off, possibly in a car.

Police are looking for a white man, roughly 20-25 years old with brown hair and a reddish moustache. He was last seen wearing black jogging pants, a grey hoodie, dark rimmed glasses and white soled “skater shoes.”

Police add that the suspect had a French accent. It’s believed he left the scene in a silver four door car.
