CHESTERVILLE – A pedestrian is in hospital after being struck by a car on County Road 43 this morning (Monday).
SD&G O.P.P. say the collision happened around 9:20 a.m. near North Dundas District High School.
The boy was transported to hospital by EMS with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
In a letter to parents, posted on the school’s Facebook page, Principal Angela Grandy said the school had been in a “hold and secure” while paramedics treated the victim. Counsellors were also brought it to help students affected by the collision.
A section of the highway was closed this morning for a police investigation but has since reopened.
