Suspect wanted in hardware store robbery

CORNWALL – Cornwall police are looking to you to help identify a suspect in a hardware store robbery a week ago.

Police say a man went into a Thirteenth Street business, Fines Home Hardware, on Sunday, Nov. 11 around 4 p.m.

“The man demanded money from a cashier while making threats to harm her,” police spokesman Stephanie MacRae told Cornwall Newswatch.

A closed circuit camera caught a good image of the suspect, which police released to the media today (Nov. 19).

The suspect is described as white, in his mid-50s, and was wearing a dark baseball cap with a white crest, a black jacket, grey jeans and black and white Nike shoes.
