INGLESIDE – The Ingleside Kraft plant is among assets the Kraft Heinz Company is selling to Parmalat in a $1.62 billion deal.
Kraft Heinz announced today it has an agreement to sell its Canadian cheese business.
It appears the operations and 400 employees will be safe as a Parmalat company spokesman told Nation Valley News the plant will be a good fit into the current network.
The plant will help Parmalat, which has a plant in Winchester, to grow operations in Eastern Canada.
The deal should close in the second half of 2019.
