DUNVEGAN – A motorcyclist is dead after a collision between his bike and a passenger vehicle Tuesday night.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 20 and County Road 24, about six kilometers north of Maxville.
According to SD&G O.P.P., early indications are a southbound car on County Road 20 attempted to turn left on County Road 24 when it collided with the oncoming motorcycle on County Road 20.
The lone rider on the motorcycle died at the scene.
His name is being withheld until family is notified.
The other driver was not injured.
A section of County Road 20 and County Road 24 near the intersection is closed to traffic for a police investigation. Detours are in place.
