CORNWALL – The city’s four mayoral candidates will square off in a public debate in early October.
The Cornwall Chamber of Commerce has set Wednesday, Oct. 10 for the debate at the Cornwall Civic Complex, which will also air on YourTV.
The format will see incumbent Leslie O’Shaughnessy and challengers Dave Murphy, Bernadette Clement and Nicole Spahich answer questions from a media panel before going to questions from the audience.
With 31 people running for 10 council seats, candidates for council will be available for a meet and greet, two hours before the 7 p.m. mayoral debate at the complex. There won’t be a debate of councillor candidates.
We go to the polls Oct. 22.
