ALEXANDRIA – Alexandria Moulding is being bought by a Georgia based building materials distributor.
U.S. Lumber Group LLC announced today (Wednesday) that it will acquire the two-step distributor of mouldings in North Glengarry by October.
The Atlanta, Ga. company hopes the deal, which it describes as a partnership, will create a better geographic presence in North America as well as more products and services.
“We are very excited to be partnering with U.S. Lumber as the next stage of Alexandria Moulding’s growth,” president Andre Cholette said. “U.S. Lumber has earned a great reputation in the marketplace and its commitment to values like honesty and integrity is a perfect match for Alexandria Moulding’s strong culture.”
Staffing and management is not expected to change at the Alexandria plant and it will keep its brand name.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Alexandria Moulding has been around since 1943.
