LONG SAULT – Add South Stormont to the list of SD&G municipalities that have a burn ban in place.

Fire Chief Gilles Crepeau issued the ban this morning (Thursday), which takes effect immediately.

On Tuesday, North Glengarry and South Dundas put bans in place as the region deals with a heat wave.

As of this morning, South Glengarry is the only township without any restrictions but the situation is being monitored.
