CORNWALL – Aviation enthusiasts will be able to get up close and personal with the newest part of the Canadian Coast Guard fleet.
The agency’s new Bell 429 helicopter, based in Parry Sound, Ont., will be at the Cornwall Regional Airport on Sunday for the Father’s Day Fly-In Breakfast.
The Canadian Coast Guard’s chopper, piloted by Gary Ertel, is assigned to the Great Lakes and Arctic region as carries out various duties including ice monitoring and checking out oil spills.
The event runs from 8 a.m. until noon.
