Possible severe thunderstorms for SD&G

Update 7:45 p.m. Wednesday: All weather watches and warnings have ended.

SD&G – Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the region.

The weather bulletin at 9:45 a.m. said conditions are favourable for severe thunderstorms but the main threat is “damaging wind gusts” to 90-100 kilometers an hour.

The forecast is calling for the thunderstorms to begin around noon with the risk of severe weather this afternoon and tonight.
