CORNWALL – The City of Cornwall and the union representing Cornwall Transit employees have a deal, which will mean labour peace through the end of 2022.
The city announced Thursday (April 26) that it had reached a five year collective agreement with the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 946.
Transit Manager Len Tapp says they are “quite pleased” with the terms in the deal.
Terms of the agreement, covering 32 employees, were not disclosed.
In a joint statement through the City, union local president Cathy Belyea said both sides would “both mutually benefit” from the agreement.
An email to the ATU Local 946 Press Secretary Scott Szabadka on Thursday requesting comment was not returned by the time of this publication.
