SOUTH GLENGARRY/SOUTH STORMONT – Two fire departments in SD&G have received grants from two organizations.
South Stormont Fire and Rescue received a $2,000 cheque Thursday (Jan. 18) from property insurance company FM Global for fire investigative training and equipment.
On Monday last week (Jan. 15), the South Glengarry Fire Service was the recipient of a $10,000 grant from gas company Enbridge through its Safe Community Program.
The money will be used for a project to address both equipment and training to deal with class B flammable liquids – gas, petroleum oil and paint.
