KINGSTON – Staff with Ontario’s colleges, including St. Lawrence College, will vote this week on the College Employer Council’s latest offer.

The council has set up a website to allow the roughly 12,000 Ontario faculty members to vote online.

Voting will start at 9 a.m. tomorrow (Nov. 14) and will end at 10 a.m. on Thursday (Nov. 16). There’s also an option for eligible voters to cast their ballot by telephone.

If a majority of members vote yes to the employer council’s final offer, classes would likely start on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017.

The offer includes a 7.75 per cent wage increase over four years to a maximum of $115,378 for full-time staff and $154.26 per hour for part-timers.

It also includes improved benefits and better access to full-time positions.

The college strike is into its fifth week after faculty hit the picket lines on Oct. 16.
