SOUTH GLENGARRY – A Quebec man had his vehicle impounded Sunday after he was allegedly going 158 kilometers an hour through a construction zone.
A police officer was conducting radar enforcement around 8 a.m. when they nabbed the vehicle, east of Cornwall.
The construction zone was flagged with a 100 kilometer an hour speed limit, through fines are usually increased within designated construction areas.
The 45-year-old driver from Sherbrooke, Que. also had his licence suspended for a week under Ontario’s Street Racing Law.
