Victim identified in Morrisburg motorcycle collision

MORRISBURG – Provincial police have identified the motorcycle rider killed Friday in a two vehicle collision at an intersection in Morrisburg.

SD&G O.P.P. say Ronald Taillefer, 77, of North Glengarry died when his westbound motorcycle collided with an eastbound station wagon.

Police had said the station wagon had crossed into oncoming traffic at the intersection of County Road 31 and County Road 2.

The 18-year-old driver and only person in the station wagon was treated at hospital for minor injuries.

Her name has not been released.

Const. Tylor Copeland told Cornwall Newswatch, he believed charges are pending.

SD&G O.P.P. and O.P.P. Traffic Collision Investigators are still trying to piece together what happened.
