CORNWALL – There’s a new head of the Cornwall Community Hospital Board of Directors.

Nancee Cruickshank, a retired executive professional, is serving her second three year term on the hospital board (originally elected in 2013).

She was elected chairman of the board last week.

“After retiring…I thought I could apply my skills elsewhere, which is what drove me to apply as a board member in the first place. During my time, I have learned many things about hospital operations and appreciate how lucky we are to have such a great health care facility in our community,” Cruickshank said.

Prior to her work on the hospital board, she had extensive experience in foreign postings with the Canadian Consulate General.

On the personal side, she has three grandchildren.
