CORNWALL – After nearly 10 weeks, police have made an arrest in a summer break-in at a downtown lunch institution.

Jason Larose, 39, of no fixed address was arrested Tuesday and charged with break and enter.

In July, a picture was distributed by the Cornwall Community Police Service from security camera footage at Riley’s Bakery on Pitt Street, showing a man breaking into a cash register.

CCPS is thanking the public for their help in identifying the suspect.

”It’s with the public’s assistance and the hard work from our detectives that we were able to make an arrest,” Sgt. Chad Maxwell said.
