Possible severe thunderstorms as heat breaks

CORNWALL – The hot weather is expected to come to an end tonight but the approaching cold front is going to lead to some potentially rocky weather.

Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch at 10:45 a.m. today for the region as the front passes through the area.

A heat warning has been in effect since Friday and continues today.

The severe thunderstorms could bring damaging winds, hail and torrential downpours.

The forecast low tonight is 10 degrees and the high tomorrow is 17.
