Student entrepreneurs off and running

CORNWALL – The latest crop of small business startups are underway as part of the Cornwall Small Business Enterprise Center’s Summer Company program.

The program, funded by the provincial government and run by the center, gives $3,000 in start-up funding, as well as coaching and mentoring.

The eight businesses were officially launched last week. They are:

  • Cutting Edge Lawn Care – Residential Lawn Maintenance
  • Natural Beauty – rejuvenate your skin
  • Kreative Writing With Kyle – Creative Writing at its best!
  • K.A.D. Equine Starting and Horse Life Day Camps
  • Locally Farmed Lamb Meat at Hillside Sheep
  • Cutaway Lawn Care – Personal Lawn Care Assistance
  • Freddy’s Freezies – Frosty Refreshments
  • ForresterFilms – Promotional Photography & Video

Summer Company is for students, 15 to 29 years old, from Cornwall, SD&G and Akwesasne, who are returning to school in the fall.
