CORNWALL – Another set of plaques, detailing the history of downtown Cornwall, are being unveiled today.

The ten new plaques are part of the Cornwall Historic Walking Tour with a cluster of them within the Historic Parkette on Pitt Street between the courthouse and George Assaly Lane.

They were created by local artist Pierre Giroux.

This unveiling at noon is part of celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday this weekend.

A public barbecue is taking place at the site (Friday).

There were 18 plaques installed throughout the community last year.
