BONVILLE — Provincial police say a driver has been killed in a two vehicle crash between a car and a transport truck on Highway 138 north of here.
SD&G O.P.P. say the car was travelling north when, for some reason, it crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with the transport.
The lone male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver wasn’t injured, police said.
The identity of the victim has not been released until relatives can be notified.
South Stormont firefighters and the Cornwall-SDG Paramedic Service were also on the scene around 6 a.m. in the area of the highway near Amell and Renald George Road, north of Willy Allan Road.
The section of Highway 138 reopened around 9:30 p.m.
