Cornwall hospital worker assaulted

CORNWALL – A Cornwall woman is facing three charges after a hospital employee was roughed up at the Cornwall Community Hospital yesterday (Wednesday).

Cornwall police allege the accused had punched a staff member, pushed a table and had threatened other staff in the McConnell Avenue building.

Officers were called and a 27-year-old woman was arrested on charges of assault, assault with a weapon and threats.

As for the victim, Const. Dan Cloutier told Cornwall Newswatch they won’t be commenting on the severity of the injuries or whether the victim is a nurse β€œin fear it might identify the victim.”
