SD&G – School buses have been cancelled across the region as freezing rain is expected to blanket the area today (Tuesday).
All buses have been cancelled across the district for English Public, English Catholic, French Public and French Catholic schools.
The schools remain open for those that can get to class.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement late Monday afternoon. It said a wintry mix of snow, mixed with ice pellets and freezing drizzle, was expected to hit the region with about 2-4 centimeters accumulation throughout the day.
With temperatures at or slightly below freezing, Environment Canada says travel conditions are expected to be poor.
