SD&G – During the first snowstorm of the season, provincial police across SD&G were dealing with nearly 100 calls for vehicles in ditches or collisions.
SD&G O.P.P. said there were 25 calls in Stormont County, 32 in Dundas County and 42 in Glengarry County over the weekend.
Three people were slightly injured in those crashes.
The region dealt with a Colorado Low which moved into the region Sunday, bringing up to 25 centimeters (10 inches) of the white stuff.
Officers are working with towing companies today (Monday) to remove vehicles from ditches.
You may encounter temporary lanes closures and delayed on highways like Highway 401.
The region is still under a snowfall warning, though the flurries are supposed to taper off later tonight, according to Environment Canada.
