Long Sault arson suspect facing more charges

LONG SAULT – A man, accused of trying to burn part of Longue Sault Public School, is facing additional charges.

Provincial police arrested William “Liam” McDonald, 22, of South Stormont on Wednesday night.

Police were called to investigate a complaint after someone had made online threats.

McDonald is charged with uttering threats, criminal harassment and failing to comply with a recognizance order.

He had been charged on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016 in relation to several acts of vandalism and arson at the Longue Sault Public School between September and October.
