Xplornet creating 130 jobs in Cornwall

CORNWALL – Rural internet service provider Xplornet will be opening a regional office in Cornwall and plans to hire over 130 employees.

The company announced Wednesday it plans to invest $40 million over the next five years with new offices in the Weave Shed in the Cotton Mills district.

Xplornet is planning on creating over 130 full-time jobs, described as “highly skilled jobs…with attractive compensation packages.”

The office, will handle technical service, customer care, sales, network and corporate support.

Xplornet’s, with its head office is in Woodstock, N.B., has been named a top employer in Atlantic Canada in four of the last five years.
