Three involved in Brookdale crash

CORNWALL – Three people were checked over by paramedics after a crash at the intersection of Thirteenth Street and Brookdale Avenue.

Cornwall firefighters, paramedics and police were called to the scene around 9:30 p.m.

The crash between a Pontiac Sunfire and a Ford Mustang sent the Mustang into a utility pole at the northeast corner of the intersection.

Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to cut the driver out of his vehicle.

He was one of two occupants in the car and was alert and talking with emergency crews as they did their extrication.

Another woman, driving the Sunfire, was checked over by paramedics.

As bad as the crash looked to passersby, fortunately no one was seriously hurt.

A police investigation is ongoing.
