CORNWALL – After six decades in Cornwall, a local chip stand is helping out the Agape Center on its birthday.

Seguin Patate owner Mike Allaire will be offering the proceeds from select menu items on Sunday (Aug. 20) to the local food bank.

Those include mini donuts, hot dog and drink combos, fry cones and ice cream cups.

Wholesale Club, Cardinal Meats and Betty Bread partnered with Seguin Patate for the event.

Allaire will also be having hourly giveaways of t-shirts from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

“Cornwall’s been my hometown for 53 years. I’ve got a pretty good business going,” Allaire said. “I’m feeding a lot of people here, but a lot of people are going hungry. So I’m giving back from what I have.”

“We’re really grateful for the support Mike has given over the years,” said Kendra Smith, fund development and communications officer for the Agape Center. “Third party fundraisers like this are a huge help to keeping our shelves stocked with good food – especially during summer months.”
