
ALEXANDRIA – Provincial police have charged a North Glengarry man after a service dog was hit and pelted with rocks.
The assault is said to have happened just before noon on Friday (Aug. 12) on St. James Street in Alexandria.
SD&G O.P.P. say an altercation happened between a man and a woman, who was aided by the dog.
A 46-year-old North Glengarry man is charged with assault with a weapon, causing unnecessary pain and suffering to an animal and mischief.
He will appear in an Alexandria court Oct. 12, 2016.
