MORRISBURG, Ont. ā€“ There are two new additions at Upper Canada Village…and they need names.

Two Canadian foals were born at UCV May 25 and June 22.

As part of the celebrations leading up to Horse Lovers’ Weekend, the St. Lawrence Parks Commission is holding a naming contest for the two colts.

The name must start with a ā€œDā€ in order to comply with livestock registration rules, as well as making sure the name is practical and fits the character of the animal.

You can enter the contest by filling out the form online or picking up a form at the Discovery Center at the village, east of Morrisburg.

The contest closes Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.

Horse Lovers’ Weekend is Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, where the winner will be the Grand Marshall for the parade and their family will get admission and lunch at Willard’s Hotel.
