WILLIAMSTOWN – Hundreds are expected to pass through the gates this weekend for the 205th edition of the Williamstown Fair.
The 205th edition of the country’s oldest fair opened at 7 a.m. this morning (Friday) and events will run through Sunday at 6 p.m.
Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the main stage with special guest Lt. Col. Steve Young of the SD&G Highlanders.
New this year is the Heritage Hall, which will display history of Glengarry County with people to ask questions about the artifacts.
All the usual events will be there including the midway, the horse shows and fair exhibits.
Organizers expect to see over 18,000 people come through the venue over the course of the weekend.
