ROCKLAND – A local school board golf tournament has raised over $23,100 for the Good Samaritan Trust Fund.

The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario’s largest fundraiser of the year and silent auction was held Tuesday at the Outaouais Golf Club in Rockland, Ont.

“Today has been an outstanding day, and we owe so much to our supporters for the continued success of the fund, and this event. It is inspiring to witness how support for this charity has grown over the last nine years, and the impact it has had for those in need within our Catholic school community,” said William Gartland, director of education for the CDSBEO.

Here are the winners from the event:

  • Top Foursome – Frank Tierney, Cale Harrison, Murray Wilson, Wm. J. Gartland

  • Frank B. Musca Award – Gordon Greffe, Lucie Greffe, Dietre Newjahr, Marg Dalziel
  • Top Corporate Team – Jim Muldoon, Adam Muldoon, Jerry Salisbury, Bob Henley

The benefactor – the Good Samaritan Trust Fund – is a stop-gap for students and families that are not able to get assistance through other charities.
