CORNWALL – Residents in SD&G who are customers of Hydro One are expected to converge on MPP Jim McDonell’s office this afternoon.

The Hydro One protest in the parking lot at 120 Second Street West is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. today (Saturday).

Organizers say they are sick and tired of being “second and third class citizens,” as they deal with hefty delivery charges for electricity while the Liberal government uses rural Ontario for its Green Energy Act plan.

The Cornwall protest is part of the provincial campaign dubbed “Hydro One – Enough is Enough.”

A similar protest was held in Brockville last weekend.
