Driver injured in Avonmore crash

AVONMORE – A crash between two pickup trucks sent one driver to hospital late Thursday night.

SD&G O.P.P., North Stormont firefighters and paramedics were called to the intersection of County Roads 43 and 15 around 10:20 p.m.

Two pickup trucks – a Ford F-150 and a GMC Sierra – collided at the intersection.

The male driver of the GMC pickup was taken to hospital by ambulance for minor injuries, police said.

The man driving the Ford F-150 was given a ticket under the Highway Traffic Act for disobeying a stop sign.

It was the second crash at the intersection that day as police investigated another collision around 3 p.m. Thursday.
