LONG SAULT – The area around the Long Sault marina will be transformed into a double tower condominium complex in the not-too-distant future.

Cornwall developer J.C. Godard has unveiled plans for a luxury condo development called Bentley’s Boardwalk – two seven-storey towers at the site of the former Long Sault Marina.

Godard is the name behind the Knox City Center, Kings Landing and Riverdale Terrace — all in Cornwall.

The 72 suites will range in size from 1,000 to nearly 1,600 square feet and will cost $396,000 to $668,000 each, plus management fees.

While still on paper, the company’s website indicates that the entire top floor of the tower facing the water and most of the penthouse units in the Ashley Model have been spoken for.

South Stormont Mayor Jim Bancroft is said to be excited about the project.

The company is hoping start construction in November and have people moving into the first complex by November 2017 – the second complex by May 2018.
