CORNWALL – Two Cornwallites in their 20s have been arrested after police shut down a drug trafficking operation on Meadowvale Crescent.

The Cornwall Street Crime Unit searched a home in the subdivision off Brookdale Avenue on Wednesday, seizing cocaine, marijuana, oxycodone and methamphetamine.

They also recovered a set of brass knuckles and a bunch of Canadian and American cash.

City police do not release the quantity of drugs nor the amount of cash seized to protect the integrity of their investigation.

A 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman – both from Cornwall – are facing a total of 18 charges, including drug trafficking and possession.

They were released with a promise to appear in court at a later date.
